Company Section Report for 2010/11 Session

At the end of last year, a few Boys went off to join the 1st Monifeith Company for their Summer Camp, this proved to be very successfuland we received  an invitation again for this year.  6 Boys accepted  and will head of at the beginning of July for a week under canvas.

Over the session all the Boys have worked hard in their various classes and gained their respective badges for Road Safety, First Aid, Hobbies, Christian Faith.  My thanks to Doug Nicol who comes along to take the Bible Class each Sunday from October to Easter.  This year under doug's guidance and patience, the boys have again prepared and taken part in their own evening service, both in the hall and the Church along with parents and friends.

At Battalion events, the boys have taken part in table tennis, badminton, cross-country and sports.  All the boys were entered for the Drill Down knockout competition and Sean Baird was the last of our boys on the floor.  He and a Boy from 44th Dundee had to finally ahare the trophy.

The Company entered all the National competitions but in spite of getting through some of the early rounds we were not successful this year.  Roll on next year when we will try again.

We have no Presidents Badges to present this year but we have 3 Boys who have completed their Queens Badge work.

Congratulations to Sean Baird, Gareth Black and Christy Simpson who have gained their Queens Badge this year.

Finally, I must say a big thank you to all Compnay section staff - Betty Lovegrove, Ewan Greenhill Snr, for their continued support.  Due to work commitments Mark Wilkie has resigned as an Officer in the Company.
